Testimonials

“The job you performed on our villa was exceptional, the workmanship outstanding, and the fact that we left our fully-furnished villa at the end of March and did not return until the job was totally complete at Thanksgiving is a testament to your performing everything you said you would.”

-Client of a Custom Remodel Project

“We are just completing a home at Mauna Kea built by Gary Queen. Working with him has been a remarkable happy experience. Gary has all the attributes to undertake a construction project. He is practical, knowledgeable and a great problem solver. He knows quality and insists upon it. He understands the need to work with an architect as well as specialists needed for a complicated job, and has the diplomacy to make the group a team. He has excellent people skills and attracts an experienced and skilled on-the-job crew. Gary makes accurate cost estimates and time forecasts which I find unusual in his profession. His most attractive attribute is his honesty and frankness-you know where you stand-he is a leader.”

Client of an Award Winning Custom Residential New Construction Project

“Our experience of working with Mr. Queen has been exceptionally positive. During the course of construction of several projects of ours he has demonstrated intelligent resource management and provided effective on-site leadership. Oftentimes obtaining a successful construction experience comes down to the leadership abilities of the contractor and his site supervisors. In this area, Queen construction is especially noteworthy. Mr. Queen has excellent people skills, runs a good company, and by that attracts top building talent to the his crews. I have observed that he and his supervisors resolutely work at bringing out the best abilities of their workers. As the result of all these things, we have been very pleased with the consistently high quality of construction he has brought to our firm’s complex and finely detailed projects – Mr. Queen has demonstrated a consistent commitment to get the job done right. He stays on top of the projects. He asks the appropriate questions at the right times. He communicates clearly and truthfully. He is a “can do” person without bravado and he makes good on his word. In short, I can unequivocally recommend Queen Construction as a premier level contracting company, fully qualified to take charge of the most challenging of projects.”

-Architectural Firm

“I am writing to thank you and Queen Construction for the excellent, professional job you did on our project at the Mauna Kea. From beginning to end everything went well. You were able to finish ahead of schedule and 6% below the original budget. That’s quite an accomplishment on a complex project with some exotic materials and requests. Your were extremely easy to work with and the flow of information was timely and accurate. I particularly appreciated your ability to bill me in an understandable way with detailed information. One of my initial concerns of doing a project in Hawaii was quality of workmanship. I shouldn’t have worried. Your people did excellent, highest quality work!”
